Best way to mount scope offset from the bore?

I have a Weatherby Vanguard 2 in .308, which is my primary long-range rifle. The bolt handle on this gun barely clears the scope I have on it. I'm looking for a way to mount the scope slightly off from the center of the bore to the left, thus creating more clearance. I already have a steel picatinny rail more of less permanently mounted, so it would have to go on top of that. Does anyone make an attachment that would work?

Harrell Precision makes rings that are offset a third of an inch. However, I do not know if they make any for a picatinny rail.

Wouldn't it make more sense to get higher rings? I would seem that higher rings would be less of an issue when sighting in than offset rings would be.
That's generally my opinion as well. Cheek weld, sighting, balance, mounting, and keeping your rig level all become more complicated/critical, especially at longer ranges.

Tho if the handles clearing, I wouldn't bother with higher rings...again my personal opinion. Or, if hitting the bell with your hand is an issue, maybe have a longer "tactical" bolt handle installed. I've got a couple on my Ruger Americans and I like them.

Sighting I would offset my poi, to poa, the same distance my scope is off set to my bore.
So as long as everything is level your bullets still droping inline with your adjustments, and reticle, it's just always the same amount right.

You could try a pair of these and see if the idea is workable, then see if someone makes, or will make a sturdier option.

Those look like EXACTLY what I want, but you're right, no picatinny rail-compatible ones seem to be available.

The Vanguard has a one-piece bolt. No chance of modifying the knob, unless I cut the old one off.

Weaver makes their Grand Slam Rings in a windage adjustable version but it is Weaver cross-slot based. Pic rail will be compatible with a bit of play but should not make any difference if mounted correctly. Some people dislike mixing the two, on the average hunting rig I’ve experienced no problems, ymmv.

Steel rings, both claws are drilled to tighten independently, one base screw per side.

I agree that bolt modification, re-shaping if possible or a new bolt handle is preferable to swapping rings.

That, or modify the bolt handle by drawing it out or welding a different one on

Higher rings. Super simple to add meat to the stock to raise your cheek, not super simple to deal with windage drift due to off-set center planes.

You're going to create more problems than you solve. Mount it higher to clear the bolt handle or modify the bolt handle. Mounting the scope to one side means it can only be zeroed at one range. You'll not only have to deal with bullet drop at longer ranges, but it the bullet will drift to farther and farther to the right as range increases.

No chance of modifying the knob, unless I cut the old one off.

It can be bent, or material can be machined away from the handle giving you more room.
