    I've used the M2 quite a bit -- commanded a Mechanized Rifle Company in Viet Nam. But the M1917 has a special place in my heart,

    I do -- my place is a quarter mile wide and a mile long. There's a mountain at the south end that would make a backstop.

    But who can afford the ammo?

    At today's ammunition prices, 50 BMG is actually fairly reasonable. I'd much rather shoot a 50 at 2.99 a round over a 5.7 which is going for 2.00 a round!
