I just ordered a Kahr MK-40 Elite 98 with night sights. I always wanted a big bore semi in a mouse gun package. The gun is as small or smaller than most .380s and is chambered in .40 S&W.
I will report back after it arrives and I get a chance to shoot it.
Anyone out there have this particular model? If so how do you like it?

Best Regards,
Billy

Lots do, but I'd hardly call it a mouse gun. Those are in the P-32, NAA Guardian, Seecamp size/weight category, IMO.

I had one for a couple of years.

It is the most power in the smallest package you can get, but it does weigh too much to be carried in your pocket easily. IWB its great.

I found full sammi spec .40 loads to be too much for me to get a second shot off quickly or with anything like accuracy. If you have a strong wrist and a gorilla grip that won't be a problem.

The weight is the thing that makes it reasonable to shoot. With most loads it is a serious hand cannon.

No way is any kahr a mouse gun. Not even close. They're subcompact, and they're nice and thin. But if you've ever held a seecamp or a kel-tec p32, you know what a mousegun is, and a kahr sure ain't it. Good little guns, though.

Ok Tree Squid, We will call it a "Subcompact"

:D I have a Kel Tek P32 and NAA Guardian in .32Auto. I don't own a Seecamp but have fired several.
I guess its all a matter of perspective. I do know a .40 S&W is a powerhouse compared to the .32 Auto.
BTW isn't that a Wilson "Mousegun"he is holding.:D

A new addition to the mouser family expected next month is the Kel Tec P-3AT. It's a P-32 sized .380 pistol. Bring it on! :D

I will get one of those for Mrs. Fiveshooter

That would be great Blackhawk,
My wife carries a Wather PPKS and refuses to carry anything with less power. I am sure I can get her to carry a Kel Tec in .380 auto. Less weight than the Walther and should be less expensive when the "new"wears off it. In my area the P32s were selling for more than the P11 at first but they show a lesser retail price in the books. All a matter of "supply and demand".
If the price is right I may even want one myself.:D
The Seecamp carried a price that borders on ridiculous for years but I saw a new one today at a local shop for $430. I have seen asking prices as high as $700 for the seecamps a decade ago.
Glad I did not buy one then.:D

I had an MK40 for a little while, but sold it with the intention of replacing it with an MK9 (or PM9). Not because the recoil was uncontrollable, I just wanted to narrow down the number of calibers in my collection and decided the .40 must go.

I never did get the MK9 though. The Kahr MK series is just a little on the heavy side. It was a nice little gun. Enjoy it!

I'll be all over the P3AT like a televangelist on tacky blue velvet as soon as it comes out. The p32 just plain kicks booty, and having a .380 at nearly the same size and the same price will rock my silly little world.

I have an MK40 Elite 98 and love it.

It's my constant companion and is light enough that there are times I have that jolt of fear that its fallen out of its holster, but no, its still there :)

People complain about the weight of the Kahr MKs but I can't imagine why ... and I don't think I'd want a PM40.

Get a good holster and you're set. I just ordered a Talon Plus from Lou Alessi (I ordered it directly from him, saved me a few bucks too). I've been carrying in an Action Direct Defender (belly band) but the ole belly band is starting to wear a bit and stretch out (used to carry a Steyr M40 in it, so the MK has always been a little loose, but now I've dropped my spare mag a couple of times :what: so its time for a new holster).

FiveShooter;

The "Never argue with a fool......" quote is a paraphrase from King Soloman, Proverbs ch12 or so, if my memory serves me correct. He also makes reference relating to arguing with a fool to taking a mad-dog by the ears with your hands too !!!

At least he was the first to put it in writing. Sometime around 1100 BC or so......

I like the thought !!!!.....and thought you might like to know.

BTDT !!!!!
