I have some nc star red dot sights on some of my guns. Shotty performance. I would like to know from experience what is the best most cost effective red dot or scope for ak's and sk's? i need something that dosent lose zero after every shot.

On AK's & SKS's the mount plays a very critical role on any sight holding zero.
    Don't skimp on the mount.

There are a lot of cheap dust-cover mounts out there, and none of them are worth a crap.
Because the dust-cover moves around every shot, and you have to be able to take it off to clean the gun.

Not to worry. I have a very nice double rail mount thats bolted right on to the side. I'm good to go there. I decided to go with the sight mentioned above. Very cheap @ $150 and great reviews.
