I have always looked at the 44 caliber and up as big bore, but agree that the 41mag preforms more like a big bore than a mid caliber.

For me, the 41 is a Magnum, but not a big bore. I kinda feel that way about 44 mag too, but I guess if the caliber starts with a 4 it's ok to call it a big bore...
