Well I got mine today. When I placed the order Mr Mika actually called me on my cell and gave estimated date of delivery - he ended up beating that by 2 weeks!

But I know what all the fuss is about and why he's so busy. This pocket holster for my 642 or M85 works perfectly. Keeps the revolver in place nicely concealed and stays in the pocket when you draw. This is one of the few holsters that meets my needs from Day 1 and trust me, I have a box full of "trial and error" holsters.

Durable, nice looking, practical - best $ 18 I ever spent on a gun related item.

That's true, it will get better! As it "breaks in" and it molds around your revolver it's even better than when new...

I can't hardly wait for mine to arrive. Robert shipped it out earlier in the week. I'm expecting it any day now. It will be used for my 642, replacing a safariland pocket holster. My 642 goes almost everywhere with me, mostly as a backup, but often as my primary.

----Going out to the mailbox to check. Fingers crossed:D-----

How is the Mika on the finish of the guns? I have a new No-Lock Model 37 and I wondered about that. My Uncle Mike's doesn't affect the finish at all thus far and that is with a lot of practice presentations and carrying.

i just got one, i like it.

he was 3 weeks behind the 5-6 week estimate I got when I ordered, but apparently there was some flooding in his town

I've been using it every day since i've gotten it (where I can)

I have been using it for my S&W 340 with CT grips for about 8 months.
I use it everyday, and there has been no wear to the gun!

    Bentonvile,

I have carried a S&W 642-1 in my Mika square bottom holster for well over a year. I have noticed absolutely no finish wear caused by the holster.

Wear your new Mika holster around the house 24/7 for two or three weeks and let it mold itself to the gun and to you. The more you wear it, the better the fit becomes.

These are delightful holsters and a real bargain at the price.

    Cheers,
    dan :)
