    Hi all,

So what's the biggest hollowpoint you've ever seen? You know, the one that looks more like a shot glass than a bullet :what: Pics are a big plus.

CCI .45 ACP 220gr "Flying Ashtray", from a few years ago. Now, I guess, it would be whatever JHP they load in 500 Magnum.

How about this one. It is a 1oz Barnes, expanded to 1" diameter. It was a 12ga sabot slug. Recovered out of a hog I shot in the spine.

12 gauge shotgun slug that hit an old conveyor belt used as a backstop. Over one inch.

Wow, that's a beautiful slug. You should make that into a pendant or brooch. It looks like a flower.

I have a box or two of the old Triton 45ACP, and my thought is that it will give the "flying ashtray" a run for it's money.

My first thought was the first slug pic would be a great photoshop project. Arrange a bunch of flowers with the slug as the blooms, various colors, sizes etc.

Then little Johnny could enter it in his elementary school art show.

That slug blossoming open like that looks like perfection.

Of the current designes, I'm gonna have to give it to the 200 gr. .451" Gold Dot. Massive cavity in relation to bullet diameter.

The XPB's have very deep cavities, though not all that wide..

I saw one on the SecurityArms website, that was supposed to be from a bolt-action .95 hunting rifle.
    Here's the link.

500S&W with the 275gr Barnes soild copper hollow point. Looks like you could drop a whole 22lr cartridge in there.
