Ok you guys are boring. hahahha

just kidding. Ok what other forums are you guys on or know of for black powder.

The only forums i am on is here or sometimes on the firing line. I used to go to handloads.com. However there black powder forum has pretty much gone down hill. So what else is there out there. Do you guys know of any other forums as good as THR. I havent found any. I know a lot of us are on forums like muzzleloaders.com but what else is there.
 
There is a new subforum on a S&W site, scroll down towards the bottom of the Main Page to find it.

Brand new one to discuss all BP guns, BPCR to Flintlocks...I'm trying to help the Admins get it off the ground. Nice friendly forum, very low key....folks are friendlier...

Jerks on the Voy forum? Interesting.
Raise your hand if you've ever been on the Voy forum...I bet there's lots of posters who switch between Voy and The High Road.
 
The Muzzleloading Forum is hunting/camping/trekking and re-enacting with historical 'sections, i.e. time periods'. also has different sections for smoothbores, pistols, matchlocks - even cannon. and campfire cooking tips/recipes. great forum but as said - strictly no inline guns or BP cartridge guns. there is a 'non-muzzzleload' section where those are freely discussed however. if you enjoy 'primitive hunting' or re-enacting you should check it out.
 
The Voy forum is "new guy"-unfriendly. A bunch of old coots who want to keep it that way.

I've been shocked at how some new people have been treated over there.
 
I'm surprised that you say that. Like I said, most of the guys over there are over here, too. Any examples?
 
well i always use post name scrat so im sure i will see you guys on those other forums too. just started posting on the smith and wesson black powder forums. thanks gizmo. yep its a new and young forum. well see if we can get it off and going
 
I read and post on both the High Road and Voy. Both are interesting forums. I see alot of give and take on both forums. If you are going to get your bowels in an uproar over which is best, Colt or Remington or something you are just looking for problems. Its give and take, just opinions for what they are worth and like my opinion isnt worth spit many times.. Probably this is one of them.
 
Here and the SASS Wire and Saloon. OpenRange gets a lot of mention on the Wire when BP questions pop up, but I've only followed links to specific threads.

There are some jerk on the Wire, but they're few and far between. And they all shoot smokeless.

I also visit the Weapons section on the Mythbusters Forum. Every once in awhile a BP question pops up. A member over there called rick4060 is very knowledgable about BP cartridge, and guns in general.

On the Wire I go by Pulp, on the MB forum I'm blackpowderpulp
 
traditional muzzleloading forum jerks

I was banned last weekend for posting a photo of an alternative loading stand in a thread where others had posted photos of the more "traditional" loading stands. I still have 30 years to wait until the ban will be lifted.

I haven't seen your name in Voy, I'm there every day Just met a guy named Ben I helped out with some info on .36 rems the other day he's a new guy, was that you Riot? He didn't stay guess he couldn't take our locker room sense of towel snappin humor as Pohill put it.
Then some people are just born cry babies , and others like to have fun. I guess I was rude and answered his Post with out being formally asked a question. Oh well, I am so dang sorry....

whosyrdaddy, Forumotion is updating their sever and it will be like that for a while. It will work as soon as they are finished updating.
 
Voy has a black powder forum also. Lots of knowledge, but some jerks.

This must be better than CAS if Riot Earp is lookin for a better place to hang out. I know he's signed in up there in CAS but no answer here. Those CAS guys are a good lot, Scorrs, Storm, Rats, and of course the Darksiders.
I re-Enlisted with the Muzzleloading Forum, I believe that's where I met Mykeal. Was the old format which I liked much better, and in the French & Indian War forum...which was also better then.
Anyway I say this and in doing so will have probly have said it all.
http://voy/60048/ is the best damn forum and best bunch a guys you'll ever meet and get to know, and I don't lie. Anybody doubts that slap leather and you best be very very fast.:cool:
