Saw it, got curious what Boker would do for $32, bought it.

Now that it I have handled it...I like it.

Once I get a proper edge on the 4.5" blade the thing will be quite the sticker. I think I'm going to get a mosaic pin to drop in the pointless thong hole and play a bit with file work.

Boot sheath or belt?

Thanks, Now I want one:fire:
Good idea with the mosaic and file work.
I will have to only sharpen one edge as double edge carry is a no no here.

Thanks for posting this. I have been looking for a solid yet costs effective shoulder rig knife. Everything I have set my eyes on has been either too long or would end up heavy.

I am also a self admitted knife snob. However, for a quick to grab and use in a hurry, I don't need to carry a 300 or 400 dollar blade. This looks good enough for what I am needing.

I'm picturing a handmade inverted kydex sheath that I can draw with a downward yank. I think I even have enough kydex on hand.

It does need some jimping, for sure;)

My experience with sgian dubh is that they fall into two broad camps.

One is ornate and decorative hilts, with a blade only used to hold it in the sheath.
The other is in having fine blades and indifferent decoration.

The Boker falls in that latter category. Does it quite well, too.

Is it decorative enough for "dress" use; perhaps not.
Finding that elusive combo of an elegant blade with tasteful decoration appears to be a solely custom work creature.
