Just wondering if any manufacturer makes new 7.62x54r bolt action rifles? I can't seem to find any even from companies like CZ.

Excluding Mosin Nagant, bubba'd/sporterized Mosins, and custom rifles.

    Good luck.

The Mosin Bolt face is so bejankety that a rifle manufacturer would have to dedicate and entire action to it.

I feel your pain and I also wish there were more offerings for the 7.62x54R as well but it does not fit with manufacturing efficiency. (profit)

For the same reasons there are few 22 Hornets in production anymore. Sad times.

Yes, there are a few offerings from Finnish manufacturers. You will pay probably $1000+ though. Most of them are target rifles.

i like the mosin overall. heck its got one of the slickest actions i own. minus the safety i prefer the mosin action to a mauser.

just get a nicer new barrel, drill and tap a cheap receiver, throw it in a nice sporter stock, then bed the action and your set.
