Indeed. And the G43 is about as shootable as the G42, so why stay with .380? And if you are going with the G43, why not the 43X to have more capacity with about the same footprint.I'd like one day a Glock 42. The thing is, once one gets to Glock 42, Shield .380, Bersa Thunder sizes, they are much more shootable but are as big as many 9mm sub compacts.
I am assuming once Glock came out with the 43 they just abandoned any more consideration of the 42, otherwise why not 42X? My Dad's Shield in .45 ACP is smaller in my hand than the G42 and actually pretty easy shooting with a replacement guide rod.
