Heck, .25 ACP for that matter.Right, I would bet you that there is a far bigger demand for .22 lr, .32 acp, etc.

Guess what?!Heck, .25 ACP for that matter.
I have come VERY close to buying one twice recently when I saw them available. Why? Because, uh, um, er, uh, I'll get back to you on that. Some of these barrels are random lol. Like, who really wanted a 30 carbine derringer?
The .357 barrel is good for range of power, including light .38 target loads. .38 wadcutters are nice out of themWell I just had it to the range again. Shot 50 rounds. Half were 250 grain cowboy rated 790 fps and half were 250 grain rated 860 fps. There is definitely some significant recoil--very manageable, but for the beating your hand takes. And now 2 hours later my hand is still sore from it. So I think maybe a smaller caliber barrel is making more sense here. Possibly a 9mm, or a .38 Special/.357 Magnum. The 180 grain cowboy loads (820 fps) are nice and gentle to shoot, so I will stick with them. All the ammo I am shooting is from www.cavalryammunition.com.
For those Derringer naysayers I'll say that this gun is so much fun. I bought it two weeks ago and here on day 13 of owning this gun I have had it to the range 3 times now! That is how much fun it is. I even let a guy at the range shoot 4 rounds out of it and he loved it too, said he is going to get one.
You need to, and should have a plaque with your photo on the BA factory floorI have come VERY close to buying one twice recently when I saw them available. Why? Because, uh, um, er, uh, I'll get back to you on that.
The problem is I've purchased 4 completes guns and 3 barrels this year and I have a .38 Stinger RS on order. I'm still hopeful that at some point my superego can out-shout my id and convince me that I have enough. You need to, and should have a plaque with your photo on the BA factory floor
This is why i don't shoot .357 mag out of mine except one session. My hand is no longer sore from shooting the 250 grain .45 Colts out the BA Derringer yesterday afternoon. Maybe a little soreness in the wrist still.
It'll feel better once it quits hurting.Maybe a little soreness in the wrist still.
Yep, if I had that barrel I could not help putting a handfull of .357 rounds through it.This is why i don't shoot .357 mag out of mine except one session.
That sounds like a Yogi Berra quip. Kind of like "I have a lot of patience when I don't have to wait."It'll feel better once it quits hurting.
I’m operating under emergency authorization and powers for buying firearms since the advent of Covid. ‘Why you can never have too much firepower for the apocalypse and by golly you know you didn’t spend as much on going out and travel the last two years.”The problem is I've purchased 4 completes guns and 3 barrels this year and I have a .38 Stinger RS on order. Agreed. BA raffle was in a BA email.i actually believe that b.a. derringers are a useful, albeit expensive, niche firearm. my reasons:
1. single action with rebounding hammer and a safety is the ultimate in safety.
2. full range of ammo choices by switching barrels makes for easy ammo scrounging during shortages.
3. they don’t print.
4. built like a brick outhouse, i.e. you probably can’t break one or shoot it out.
5. changeable barrels and grips mean easy customization to suit your tastes.
autodidactic: where did you see the b.a. raffle for a 22lr? thanks.
357mag bang-bang I would have to try it onceBought one last year, not really sure why.
38/357.
It gets left in the car, in the truck.
Not terribly practical, just different.
I'm not in the least bit curious as to how it shoots 357's.

I probably shot about 5 rounds of .357 out of mine. Painful recoil. Probably literally the worst 'felt recoil' I've ever experienced in a handgun. But, I had to shoot a few. Since, I only shoot .38 out of mine.Bought one last year, not really sure why.

Different people learn differently. Some learn by listening, some by watching, some by reading; but some just have to pee on the electric fence just to see for themselves.Like the kid who couldn't help putting is tongue to the metal pole on a zero degree day. I would not be able to resist putting some .357s through that barrel.
