Applied properly, I have never had an issue with LLA and seating dies.

I have had an issue with wax based lubes like thompsons blue angel- I clean them out with a hot 20 gauge brush every 500-700 rounds. It tends to accumulate on the seating die head itself, which left unattended will slowly shrink your OAL.

It makes a gummy mess if you use too much. It takes a lot less than you'd expect. You can also mix it with paste wax; apply *that* very thinly and it's not sticky at all.

Or you can mix it 50/50 with mineral spirits.

I use about a 1/2 to 3/4 tablespoon of the 50/50 to do 250 bullets in a small container.

The container ends up keeping more of it than the bullets- but thats great for the next batch. I spread them on a 6408 produce flat and put a fan on 'em- they are dry in about an hour.

I thin mine by about 50% with denatured alcohol, it seems to work well for me.

45% alox 45% johnson paste floor wax 10% mineral sprits

Low heat & mix well !!

It`ll dry faster ,not stiky or gooey.

It`ll dry so clear you`ll think it won`t work , but it does!!

    This^ .

I used this concoction many times when I was tumble lubing. Much better than straight Alox.

I have sprinkled wad slick (mica powder) on my tumble lube bullets to keep them from sticky-ing up dies and everything else. Baby powder works too.

The 45/45/10 lube or "Recluse Lube" is wonderful. I use it for nearly everything from 38's up to full tilt gas checked 454 loads.

If you don't want to mess with blending it up yourself you can always check out White Label Lubes and pick it up pre mixed and ready to go.

    Delux Liquid X-Lox~45-45-10

I personally haven't tried it just yet, but if anything like the rest of his lubes which I have sampled and used you will not be disappointed one bit. When I run out of the half pint or so I have left from my last batch I brewed up myself, I DO plan on getting some of this. Of course at the rate it lubes bullets, what I have will last me quite a while.
