Picked up a "Clean Gun" brand bore cleaner this morning at Wally World.
Looks like a Bore Snake but with a difference. Instead of bronze bristles attached to the fabric this one has a thick bronze wool piece that you thread through the fabric. Comes with two replacement bronze things and a seperate bronze brush on a weighted string "for those stubborn deposits". It also has a plastic sleeve to store it all in.
All that and it's $5 less than a genuine Bore Snake. Could be a case of you get what you pay for but sometimes ya gotta try new things!
