I'll be in Boston, Massachusetts the weekend of January 27 to the 30th. I'm staying at the DoubleTree on Washington near China Town.

I also once saw a bike messenger get wiped out by a car pulling into the Doubletree's garage.

Unfortunately I have drill with the NG that weekend, so I can't join you. I recommend you check out the Grotto up by the state house (37 Bowdoin Street, between Cambridge and Derne Streets), if you haven't already.

jamz, thanks for the offer. I never fly out to Boston with firearms so I would have to borrow yours.
Dev, carjacked? No joke? By the medical center there or by the train station or where? There's always a flock of us but we look, talk and must act like we are not from around there so we always watch 6 and always have someone walking drag.
Never been to the Grotto. Seafood? Fish is brain food and I need it. We usually go to Chinatown, Legal Seafood, there's a great Cambodia joint, Elephant Walk,or even just down the street at that microbrewery Rock Bottom or something like that, last summer we went to Houston's as I know the manager. Maybe I'll check it out.

Made it out to Boston in without being arrested by TSA goons and surviving the pilot, aka "Dangerous Dave", we came into Logan like we were being shot at. Only mishap--my aftershave bottle broke on the plane. If anyone flies a United 757 that smells like "Pacific Light" by Gillette you know I was there!

I broke a bottle of cologne whilst inside my backpack just outside of South Station in 1992. The backpack still smells like Polo or whatnot. It must be the curse of the Bambino.
Have fun in town, I'm halfway through drill weekend. I wish I could be doing combat training in downtown Boston but instead it's a paperwork weekend. At least they let us come home for the day.
