I went to the Dixie Gun and Knife Show this weekend in Raleigh and bought a Ruger Redhawk 44 mag with a 4" barrel. As soon as I picked it up and felt the heft of this revolver, I instantly fell in love with it. It is a beautiful and solid piece of firearm machinery, exactly what I wanted in 44 mag. My only issue with it is that I don't like the exposed backstrap in the grip and would like to swap it out with a Hogue or Pach grip that has a wrap around the backstrap. It's just a personal preference, but in this caliber I like grips that bury the backstrap with some extra rubber. Any suggestions from Redhawk owners out there? Thanks in advance!
