BUT, thanks to the laws in WI I cannot take it home until I wait 48 hours...the "cool off" time.

Just wanted a fun gun so I picked up a Springer XDM Compact 9, with the BiTone finish...I guess it's their fancy way of saying black with silver slide. Not that I need them but Springfield is offering a mail in deal to get another 3 mags with mag holster for free with a gun purchase through the end of the year.
I have to flip out to PA again this week so I can't pick it up until Friday on my way up to my WI deer season opener. Nothing too big, but a fun gun. If I like this one, I may get it in 45cal next spring...other wise that Loaded Springer 1911 will finally be mine!

I'm stoked!

I agree with Hanzo you can never have too many magazines. Congratulations on your purchase.

Especially any mag holding more than 10 rds.

For serious handguns, I like 20 mags. Each.

The XDM is a crowd pleaser and will keep on ticking after thousands and thousands of rounds. You will be happy with it and it is well worth the price you pay considering all that comes with it. My XDM 4.5" in .40 S&W has been super reliable and even with 3500+ rounds through it the rails still look practically new.
