So I've been building a custom Remington 783 in 6.5 creedmoor and using an at one stock and pt&g aics bottom metal I the stock has 2 rods running across for rigidity and once I started inletting I had to file away at the rear, I still have more fitting to be done done and I split the filing between the bottom metal and the stock so I wouldn't have to remove as much material I've got it so the mag will seat but its hard to insert and remove once I'm done I've heard that I should do a skim coat of sealer or poly on all the bare wood I've sanded at and that I should do an epoxy bed for the bottom metal?
