BP derringer...

Does anyone know where I may source a modern BP big bore derringer something like a Bond arms or american derringer in .45 or larger , x2 shot double barrel with a bit more 'POW' than a mini revolver.

Something that runs on 209's and is proofed for nitro would be a bonus.

Not looking for accuracy, just power

Tha MANN makes these occasionally, screw off barrel single only, .60 AND .70 caliber, 209 primed with trigger cocking not double action cause there aint no sear for single action, its point and pull KA BOOM!

Ya KNOWS ya touched off somethin with tha .70! Think one ounce cup point slug at 875 feet per second! Then again, whatever ya HIT aint movin much no more!

Yup! KNOW how ya feel! When he asked what my prenticeship gun was gonna be, said THAT ONE!!!!! Real loud&quick! Still rolls his eyes and calls me MANKILLER occasionally! O.K. So i was a LITTLE; OH BOY!!!! enthusiastic about havin onea these!

Aint practical, but oh boy what fun! Round ball fer practice&plinkin and LOADSA smoke&recoil! Prolly pay for itself chargin people ta shoot it at local ranges!

Oh ya! He does a three shot revolver conversion ta .40 caliber on steel frame Remmie .31 pocket models and a .30 caliber three shot job on tha NAA .22 Magnum version cap&ball. With tha right loads, both'll crack sound barrier with somethin nasty.

Just fer tha extra OOOMPF! And cause he CAN and he LIKES redefinin limits!

Yup!

Been slow, he gots FOUR bad discs in his back, got new MRI results yesterday finally.

Goin ta build onea EVERTHIN or more, and do some step by steps condensed inta four or five shots of buildin each one. No trade secrets or how tos included, raw material ta finished in five steps at most.

Should be interestin, but again, slow, he jus took commission fer a wheellock lock only, sos will be be buildin that and a .58 caliber five shot solid frame Colt Dragoon conversion which'll be tha next item goin on website.

Just had a real brain wave,

Single shot, 209 primer, .45cal, proofed for 9grns of bullseye, 3" barrel and screw cut for a moderator

I'd also like one in .22 proofed for 4grns of bullseye and screw cut for a moddy, I don't like disturbin the neighbours


You can get a moderator in the UK if you tell 'them' it's to protect your hearing
