OK thanks…same status for months as .gov stalls and pays their salaries with our tax $’s. Nothing has changed.
I'm seeing people who paid $200 for the tax stamp 2 weeks ago get theirs already. Just as I suspected, a member on another forum says the ATF told him this:Via reports on another website, it seems as if those who paid $200 for the tax stamp after the 5/31 deadline are getting approvals within 30 days +/- while those who did the amnesty are waiting as long as three to four months on average.
Those who did the amnesty and have been recently approved all submitted around the beginning to mid May.
Interesting tidbit. I submitted 5 forms back in Feb. 3 paid stamps, 2 freebies. Well, I forgot to hand sign the 5320.23s, on all of them. Examiner sent me an email, I fixed all 5, and let her know that I had done it. I provided the control #s as well. She approved all 3 paid ones and emailed back saying that she doesn't work on unpaid applications. Thought that was weird. They must have a team specifically trained on reviewing those. Hadn't heard so I thought I'd pass it along while we wait for courts to do courty things.
Still waiting for the last two.I got one more back on 28 June; two (2) still to go - all submitted 9 May 2023.
One of the two remaining was approved last week. That leaves one of the original eight still pending.Still waiting for the last two.
So what's with that court putting a so-called stay on this ATF ruling that only applies to certain people but not to everyone?
That is a good question with no good answer.
Didn't some federal court in North Dakota shoot this down recently?Easy answer...the organizations that filed the lawsuits did so on behalf of their membership, and thus the court rulings only apply to their members.
Definition of a Class Action lawsuit: A class action (or representative action) is a type of lawsuit where one of the parties is a group of people who are represented collectively by a member or members of that group.
If you're not in the represented class, the court action doesn't apply to you.
And the last one is in.One of the two remaining was approved last week. That leaves one of the original eight still pending.
There's been no rhyme or reason to this - I had one literally approved a week after filing and the rest coming back in fits and spurts across the intervening four (4) months.
They're still approving these things?
Nope. You are not. I filed 1 on 4/20 and I am sure there are others that submitted before me that haven't received approval. My application process did not go smoothly, between the local law enforcement notification and the around the world trip my fingerprints made. I didn't realize it until after, but the conspiracy theorist in me says they are holding on to all of the applications mailed on 4/20 for some extra scrutiny...Wonder if I am the oldest application pending. 2 submitted 5/21 efile trust.
Going by dozens of other reports, it's taking 250 days for brace approvals and approximately 20-40 days for regular Form 1 approvals.10/4. I was starting to wonder if sometimes they just never respond. I’m sitting at 5 months with no movement on 2.
Wait a week or two. It will be blocked again. So what’s next now that Federal Court overruled the ATF’s brace rule?
