This time I got 3 good pins and 1 not perfect, which is better than 1 good one last time! :) And I learned a good deal about filing the blade down before putting the cutting edge on (still not THAT sharp), and also experimented a bit with the sheath and used a black layer between the blade and scales...

Thanks guys, and YES! I am having a blast!!! As for picking things up quickly, I took my first Jiu Jitsu class last night and had several instructors ask me "how long I had been training"... they were all surpised at my answer of "Oh, about 45 minutes"... :)

Anybody have any pointers from what they see here? or on my skinner thread?

You are coming along smartly. Welcome to a very enjoyable addiction...unless of course you are married...Do you know what "the female fun limitation factor(FFLF) Look" is?

That is two in two weeks. You're hooked. Great looking knife and sheath. Just a hint. Don't move in to a new house and quit you job 9 days later. Just saying.

Married, 4 kids, mortgage on 2100sf house... :-/ hahahahahahaaa....

No plans on quiting my day job yet... :)

does anyone know how minwax wood stain (like dark walnut) would do on leather? I may use that on these scales to see what happens, and was thinking about testing it on some scrap leather for the next sheath (or maybe this one)...
