Broke my AR again.

At least it waits until you’re done!

I’ve been lucky, my BCM, Bushmaster and Colt BCGs have all been “bulletproof”, none have broken...yet. I know it’s a matter of (a looong) time, but like shock absorbers and CV joints they will probably all fail at some point in their lives.

The only non stock things I do to my BCGs are the one piece gas rings (sort of like a metal key ring) and the stronger spring and donut under the extractor. I probably don’t need them, but since they’ve been working so well for so long I’m gonna stick with these changes.,

I have that spare BCG so it tags along in case of a failure. I’ve never needed it though.

You’re right about full auto M4’s, suppressed SBRs and AR guns that aren’t gassed right, those bolts take a pounding! :what:

Stay safe!

I also use the copper looking springs and donuts. These mods were used in our M4's as recommended by SOF armorers years ago, so I continue to use them. I still use regular 3 set gas rings since I have a 35mm film container full of them.
