I've broken that spring.

Using a pair of long nosed pliers, I bent another coil from the spring to create a new loop. Then I used my propane torch to anneal it. The spring is still running strong after tens of thousands of rounds.

my shop gets in really hot stuff. I bet I used 1050 with case feeder and bullet feed and motor and mounts and 50 dies will come in for $299.
