broken rcbs dies HELP

Follow up: I called RCBS custserv just now, waited 6 minutes on hold, and they're sending me a replacement decapping pin/rod gratis. Thanks RCBS!

(Can I mention how good it feels to not be the new guy asking all of these quistions most of the time?)

Yes, they will send it, but in the meantime, I have found you can use the pin from another die to fill in. When I broke my .45 pin, I used the one from my .308 dies.

No... if you're addressing me. The expander ball for a larger caliber won't enter the neck of .223 case. Plus my .223 die is made in 1977, and they changed the design in 85. Plus I don't have any other RCBS sizing dies.

I have had nothing but trouble with RCBS decappers. I always use Lee. One Berdan sneaking into the bag is enough to annihilate the RCBS pin in a second. Sometimes even Boxer primers in military rounds will give them real trouble. Lee, OTOH is extremely hard to break.
