Brought home another Sig

A P229 is on my list of really wants.
If it was a Legion, that would be OK too.
Nice looking pistols

Some years back I was looking for a dedicated house gun and found this P229 in the Used Gun case. Looked to be unfired and came with two extra mags, along with the SRT, and night sights.

Just got me a used P229R in .40s&w a few days ago as well. A classic P229 in .357 sig was one of my first gun purchases 22 years ago and one I carried solid for over a year. I foolishly sold it to a relative who really wanted it and I regretted it ever since as he won’t sell it back lol. Well anyway, found this guy online for a good price so I jumped right on it.

I’m have a .357 sig barrel that should arrive in the next couple of days along with a ton of other accessories and ammo. It shoots great with .40 s&w but I plan on carrying it with .357 sig as I’m a big fan of that round. I would like to grab a few more mag extensions like the one installed here but can’t seem to find the brand or source. If anybody knows what mag extension this is please chime in as there is no markings of any kind on it.

This was my first 50 rounds of blazer aluminum .40 s&w 165gr when I picked it up from 30 ft away standing.

Top right was all double action, top left da/sa, and both middle were all single action. Yeah I need to practice my double action trigger pulls lol

That's one solid good catch on that 229. My own 229 is mono color in 9mm. It is the second most accurate in the inventory after my BHP, and wonderfully fun to shoot. I so get why it was a USSS favorite.

Do we get to see a target?

Haven’t had an opportunity to fire it yet

I had a P229 in .40 some years ago that I had to sell when I needed the money more than I needed the gun. There were several guns I did that with that summer, it is the only one I outright replaced and didn't just get something similar. I love my .40S&W P229, though my second one has the rail. I like yours (and my first one) without the rail so much better.

Great pick up, and it looks great with those grips.
