Does anybody have any opinions on brown bear and prvi partizan ammo? I was looking for bulk .308 ammo before and those are what i found. The brown bear has steel cases and the prvi is brass which can atleast be reloaded. I'm just curious which of these is better out of the box or if i should just look elsewhere.

Silver Bear is a better choice IMO for all around plinking. P.Partizan is actually pretty decent quality for the price.

prvi partizan is the better ammo by far. Some rifles like the M14 don't take kindly to steel cases. Steel cases are in general a lot more rough on the bolt parts of a rifle as they don't have much give. Unless you have an AK or some rifle designed with steel cases in mind I would go with the brass cased ammo every time. If you have an M1A, AR10 or FAL go with brass ammo plus it's reloadable and if you don't reload you can always sell the empties. If you have a bolt gun then it is not as critical but I would still go prvi partizan as it is better quality.

Prvi is one of my favorite brands currently for being inexpensive, available, and reliable.

Brown Bear and all the other Bears are good, as far as steel cased ammo goes. I prefer it to Wolf anyday.

just bought 1000 rnds of steel cased .308 for my m14(cuz it was cheap) will my 14 shoot it ? it think its brown or silver bear .

M14s can be finicky with steel cased ammo, lots of FTF and FTE. But if your rifle works with them then its fine. You hear lots of complaints over at the M14 forums on shooting steel cased ammo though.

prvi is good stuff in 5.56. i have shot several cases of it through AR15s now. love it. i have purchased quite a bit of prvi in 308 but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. i have high expectations though.
