Brownells has Federal LPP at 84.99 w/limit of two.

On same page on my phone there was a pop up add for financing from a place called Credova.

    Strange coincidence eh?

It seems that financing will be required now for reloading supplies. Went to Midway USA out of curiosity to see if they had primers and was surprised to see them starting at $74.99 for 1000 and and high as $89.99. Looks like my shooting buddies at the range and I will continue exchanging primers. I needed primers for my .357 and they needed for their AR's it all worked out.

That sounds a lot like having an atm inside 5 guys so you can afford to eat.

Our best bet, in my opinion, remains to avoid buying them at these prices whenever possible. This market is due for a correction, but it won't happen if it doesn't need to.

    $84.99/5000 would be a deal.

If you’re willing to pay $85/1000, it means you’re a person who wouldn’t mind also paying interest on them…

Indeed if we as reloaders continue to buy primers at higher costs what incentive is there for the supplier to lower that price. They may not get back to 2018 prices but I expect those prices plus 20% as a new normal.

Brownells is great, but when ordering primers or powders... the ONLY option is 'signature required' for delivery. That's a PITA for anyone with an actual JOB.

This being said, I wrote out a note saying I was accepting the package from Brownells and signed it with a date... and taped it to the door for the FedEx driver... and he actually took it and left the package!

So, something to look out for... and a possible solution.

    Good Luck!

Not any more I’ll wager. They relaxed greatly enforcement of signature requirements during pandemic, but just last week reinstated the original rqmts.

Probably depends on your FedEx guy. I'd almost wager my guy signed for me so he wouldn't have to come back the next day... lol

If they had the cash, they wouldn’t need the financing, not that either would need my approval….

First company that starts the candy bar trick - less quantity for same price - will go on my Never Buy From Again list alongside Cheaper Than D**t

You will be surprised how well SRPs work in 357. I have not bought a small pistol primer in close to 6 years. Thousands of shots fired with them.

This has been a good break from shooting and reloading for me. I have plenty of supplies on hand because I have hardly pulled a trigger in the last 18 months or so.

I'll get back to it when all this idiocy stops.

It's threads like this that makes me glad I put away a few hundred thousand primers years ago.

This is the recent policy change (return to pre-pandemic policy) I was talking about. I got an email last week which stated verbatim what is now on their website. And yes I do also believe some drivers take liberties.
