I bought a Browning Euro Bolt .270 win about 8 years ago from a pawn shop. It was in incredible shape and after a little work with hand loads and new scope shot extremely well. I've since put a couple thousand rounds through it and would like to re-barrel in possibly another caliber. Problem is I can't find any data on it and Browning isn't very helpful. They don't list it anywhere on their site except for the "date your firearm" section and that's incomplete. So my question is. Has anyone on here gathered any info on them? Do the A-bolt stocks bolt right on? I know when I bought it the A-bolt scope bases were on it and those were wrong. The last part of the serial number are NWP17 which leads me to believe that it was manufactured in 1994 the gun is obviously a Euro Bolt so I'd imagine that is what P17 stands for. It did not come with the set trigger from the factory as I have read that they do so it seems to be sort of Browning's bastard rifle...... Any info is greatly appreciated NG
