I just wanted to see all of your bhp's, 1911's, and glocks. I've decided these are my favorite semi auto handguns and I just can't get enough of them!

Yeah, I can't post my pics now, but I just thought this title sounded like the start of a good bar-joke.

    "A BHP, a 1911, and a Glock walk into a bar..."

Plastic would detract from the beauty of that collection. (Though the purple pearl grips don't help it any.:neener:)

:D I cheated a little. That one is my wife's. She keeps trying to steal the Browning with the Herrett's grips, too.

You may want to consider adding a standard DA/SA w/ hammer version to your list, something like a Smith 39, PPK Walther, FNX, etc. Many many makes and models to consider.

I've had a jericho and a beretta but I don't like 'em much.

I do like double action revolvers though :D but this is the autoloader thread haha.

How about a BHP with a S&W Mountain Gun instead? My ATF photo. ;)

And I'll throw in an XD-40 for plastic purposes.

not a fan of HP's, or any other gun that needs work to be perform like it should (removed of mag safety to lighten trigger pull, etc....).

john browning died in europe while working with FN of belgium on producing the HP. FN subsequently changed the design before production. it's not the original (which was probably better).

You don't need to work on it to make it perform like it should. It performs perfectly with the mag safety intact. Some remove it for a lighter trigger pull. It's like saying you won't buy a 1911 because you can improve the trigger pull if "you work on it". It's a matter of choice, not something you have to do. Many, if not most of the BHP owners leave the mag safety intact and as intended and are satisfied.

I like the HP trigger with the mag safety intact, to each his own I guess. The HP is a great firearm that really works for me.

Glock? Block? What's that? 1911 are nice but the most are the wrong caliber. Don't have any of either. I do have a couple of Hi Powers and one of their cousins, the BDM.

    Thanks!...

I have no idea actually. It was a going away gift from a friend but it has no actual name stamped on it. Just a Date and USA stamped.

Its very well built and looks to be of real quality. Wish i knew more about it.
