Fellows,

My father has given me a Belgian made left handed Browning T-Bolt .22 rifle he picked up in the mid 1970's. It's in cherry shape, save a few light handling marks on the stock.

I'm interested in knowing its year of manufacture if anyone can help me, it's a five digit serial number followed by an X7 suffix ie:

34261 X7

I looked at the proofhouse.com web site for help, but the "X" suffix made it kind of ambiguous.

Can anyone help me out?

You're right Matt...the format of my serial number doesn't match any of their examples. The serial number on my rifle is on the bottom of the barrel just forward of the end of the stock.

John - your info came from the blue book of firearm values?

It's just a simple point of curiousity, but I'd be interested to know for sure :)
