Couple of knives I picked up at the antique mall today. Buck 110 50th Anniversary, perfect shape, factory sharp. Unfortunately it came with a nylon sheath, not leather. But, it was less than a new 110 at Walmart. The other one is an old handmade knife, I’m guessing from a file. Wood handle, full length tang. I like the slight curve of the grip.
You can get a replacement sheath for the Buck. Just looking around Buck is out of stock on black leather ones, but brown is available. Good find on the Buck. For the first time since the company started a Buck is not running things. The fixed blade has very much a Bob Dozier style. If you look closely I think the hand scales are micarta. I think I detect a bit of the weave of the linen fabric. Take a close look and let me know if I'm correct. A great deal of thought was put into shaping the grip.
Those are pretty cool finds. Mention was made of buck family not in charge of buck anymore. That saddens me greatly.
The 50th 110 was so cool, I'm not sure exact number of variations but they had at least 4 quarterly changes that year. Result was you never knew what you may get design wise. Mine has no markings on the other side
