Not me. To many pickpockets! I keep a NAA .22 nestled in a holster in my front pocket. However, I’m not judging. Whatever works. Just keep your head on a swivel, and wear some really tight jeans!

Naw, Im constantly getting in and out of vehicles- back pocket no good, plus printing, lack of retentention, etc.
I'm always wearing cargo pants, can usually drop one in a thigh pocket easy enuf.

I stood in line at the checkout counter a couple of years ago and happened to notice the bottom of a pistol grip and a magazine floorplate poking out of the hip pocket of the man in front of me. Now understand I don't normally examine some random dude's butt, but this butt did stick out just a little. From his pocket, I mean. I suppose not one person in a hundred would have understood what they were seeing, but I did. It would have been easy to boost that gun, although I imagine he would have noticed.

No. The next to last place I'd want a gun is in a back pocket. Last place is a small of back holster.

back pocket never. IBW @ 4 o’clock, or belly band always. back pockets are cut for wallets.

That was my thinking as well. Have a buddy with a kel tec 32 and he carries his that way. I'd be afraid it fall out getting in and out the truck

Pocket carry is front off side pocket only. Never the back pocket, too easy to get stolen and end up facing down the barrel of your own handgun.
Not my thing "Butt" Lots of people do it LOL. Im not huge on the idea of sitting on my pistol all the time. I guess if you are walking it can work but the front pocket is a whole lot better. One advantage I could see is if a thug with a knife asked for your wallet. Thats kind of a movie scenario though.
Just having a gun on you in an emergency is better than nothing. If I didnt have any other option I might do it. One good thing is you could secure it better if your shorts have a flap and a couple buttons (like BDU shorts) allowing you to run with it and it not having any room to move around. Unlike SOB carry you could fall on it and now risk injury to you spine. So like any carry method there are advantages and disadvantages. Something like a casual hike it would be more comfortable than front pocket carry because there no rotational movement from the leg. Most people use something like a fanny pack for that though.

I would never put a gun in my back pocket. I don't even carry a knife in my back pocket.

Not me. Back in the day, used an ankle holster, later either carry on my vest or weak-side pants cargo pocket. If I were to ever carry a BUG again, it'd be in a boot or ankle holster.
I can't think of a worse place to carry a handgun than a back pants pocket, frankly.

On a related note, location nor anticipated threat were factors in my carrying a 2nd gun; the 2nd gun affords options.
Whenever 2nd guns are discussed and people respond with comments about area, threat assessment, or "war zone"
they are not thinking about options; I realize reading my rationale of having options is unlikely change unmalleable minds.
On a related note part two, went shooting yesterday and shot the two pistols I usually carry as 2nd guns one hand weak hand, since they are carried in weak hand pocket.
One hand weak hand I shot my Sig 365 quicker than my Kahr PM9 and prefer the trigger on the sig.
At least if my dominant hand is ever in a cast or injured I already have practiced one hand with my weak hand and already have a pistol carried for weak hand access.

Well....being as I used to chase elk with a Remington 700 in .35 Whelen, my "backup gun" (for use while packing out the quarters as the primary was just too heavy), went into a 'tanker' type of chest rig and its caliber began with a "4".
Nowadays, fishing the Smokies for trout, my "backup gun", a Smith M-60 in .357 but loaded with a 'snake load' & .38 Spl. WC's, fits neatly into my chest fishing tackle bag.

When i carry one, the BUG never goes in the jeans' back pocket. Too slow to draw, too vulnerable to theft, not accessible when seated.
My BUG (an airweight j-frame) rides in a pocket holster in the front pocket on my non-dominant side.
I had shoulder surgery last year. My dominant-side arm was out of commission for six months. Before and after the operation, my range time was spent drawing that BUG and shooting it one-handed. The surgery and recovery sucked big time, but the months practicing with the BUG paid big dividends.

Is the rationale for off side so you can drop your non-dominant hand casually into your pocket so as to not draw attention?
Asking because for years I’ve pocket carried my Colt Agent in my right-side front pocket and I’m right handed. Not sure I’d be very proficient drawing and shooting from my non-dominant pocket with my non-dominant hand.
When I OWB carry, it’s on my right side, never cross draw or non-dominate side.

If I am carrying a BUG, I would almost always set it up access from weak side. I did this many years ago, worked halfway decently.
"It's OK, you win, let me get my wallet" was the thinking then.

Wallet in one pocket. Phone in the other. No room in my back pockets for a Bug. Pocket carry is inherently slow for drawing a pistol. The one advantage it has is you can casually grip your pistol just by sliding your hand in your pocket. I don't carry in a pocket unless I have no other option.
I carry a Rohrbaugh R9 in my right front pocket, a Remington RM380 in a wallet holster in my back right pocket, and my wallet is a front pocket wallet which I carry in my front left pocket.
I know that drawing from a pocket is slow and retrieving a gun from a wallet holster is even slower, but I'm up on ladders and crawling around under desks at client sites and I cannot afford to have someone see a holster or the butt of a weapon.

Our uniforms had sap pockets ran just to the rear of the seam on the outside.
I noticed a bunch of officers started clipping their knives in that pocket. And, in their back pockets.
Every time I saw one doing that, I pointed out they were making the knife more accessible to someone who wanted to snatch it than themselves.
Imagine wrestling with an arrestee while his buddies standing behind you…you’ve basically armed him.
There’s times I carried a gun in a back pocket. But, it’s got to be something really small and flat in a “wallet” style holster. I’ve carried High Standard Derringers that way, in what’s now, an ATF ruled class III holster. And, a Seecamp.

Pockets are slow at the best of times. If I get to where I need one It's going to be in a right handed OWB cross draw position. I normally carry left handed OWB cross. I pretty much carry this at all times, regardless of what else I may have.

I tried carrying a Remington RM380 in my back pocket a few years back. Didn’t like it at all.
I have a screwed up lower back. I don’t carry a wallet in my back pocket. Sitting on a thick wallet or gun can result in back pain. Also, for years I have worn Wrangler Authentics cargo pants and shorts. They are relaxed fit pants so the back pockets are looser fitting than bluejeans pockets. The same goes for cargo pockets. Small handguns just kind of flop around until the are in the most inconvenient position to draw quickly.
