Building an AR

I have recently gotten the bug to have an AR and first have a really simple question that I feel I should know the anwser to.

If I buy a "complete" assembled lower and a "complete" assembled upper, do I literaly just have to snap them together?

push in the pivot pin and disassembly pin, and it should be ready to go.

assuming they are complete assemblies.
