Gotcha..... I know I've been there. I used to travel between Spokane and Grangeville quite often. Lived in Spokane but have lots of family around Grangeville. No museum ever went unseen in my travels....

Whoa! We have TONS (or did, maybe just pounds now) of family around and in Grangeville. !!!! You and the wife probably know each other. We go to Grangeville every 4th of July. The little place where the Joseph rifle is has not been there a long time, possible you were already gone?

If you go back pictures would be nice.

Is this the rifle? Looking at the gun and doing a quick scale it looks like the barrel is around 26" long. It says its a .45 caliber too. My favorite.

Very nice looking rifle. It should give you many years of entertainment. It's a great idea to be able to switch from flint to percussion when you want.

I need to take my BP rifles out again, it's been such a long time, I just need powder and primers.

I have a coach underhammer in .45 with a .32 barrel as well. Lots of fun to shoot and wasn't difficult to build. This pistol I found in a closet a little while ago. I forgot I had it. I'm going to get with my shooting buddy and have a black powder day.

Yeah...been gone for 20+ years. I do vaguely remember a small museum at Spalding... Sounds like I need to make a trip back to the mother country. My cousin owns drug stores in Kamiah and Cottonwood..... would be good to see him!

Yep, that's where the wife is from. Born in Grangeville, but raised in Kamiah. Might have to meet up if you go back. The wife would have to know your cousin at least.
