I've seen these magazines for the AK touted as the greatest thing since sliced bread, but are they really all that great? and if they are, where would I be able to find some?

I have a WASR-10 it was the Romanian single stack well version that they convert after importing to accept Hi-cap and they won't fit in it.

They fit very well (nice & snug) in my milled receiver AKs, and are my favorite overall. While not quite as economical as steel mags, they work perfectly and seem like they'll last forever.

I just received an e-mail from K-Var about a special they're having. If you're a forum member (takes 5 minutes to sign up), they'll sell e'm to you for $13.99 each (limit 5 mags).

Here's the link: K-Var Bulgarian Waffle Mag special

I've used them for a few years now and they run great. The lockup on my AK is a little tighter with the waffle mags than with the standard steel ribbed mags. I got mine from K-var as well.
