Two questions for you all.
I'm using a Lee classic Turret with pacesetter dies including the factory crimp.
.243 win, rem brass, full length resized, length checked and trimmed if needed. Chamfer and deburred.
After seating the bullet i'm seeing small shavings of copper from the bullet at the top of the case.
Also when I use the factory crimp die should I see the 4 gaps close fully? I can't tell if the factory crimp is doing anything. Raised the shell holder up and screwed in the die until it touched the shell holder, then went 1/2 turn more and locked it in per the Lee instructions.
If I adjust the die until the 4 gaps close fully I get 4 lines from the crimp on the case.
How can you tell if the crimp is good?
Thanks again for the help.
