Anyone have experience with the Burris rings with the plastic inserts. They look like a great idea to me. You can change insert sizes to increase range and the rings won't scratch your scope.

Got ‘em on a bunch of rifles and just recently declared them best sub-$100 rings available. I try not to cheap out on rings, even on cheap rifles where some of mine cost less than the rings they wear.

Burris Sig Zees and Warne Maximas are my preferred rings. I actually have some offset inserts for the Burris rings that I never ended up using, ended up going a different route with that rifle and mount.

They saved my bacon with 1 rifle I needed way more elevation on due to what I assume was a poorly machined receiver. Or something. I like them.

I’ve used several pairs of both the Signature Zee rings (sleek and low drag hunting rings) and XTR Signature rings (bulky and robust tactical rings). Both are great for their purposes. I do prefer an angled rail and a conventional ring design better, but occasionally angled bases are not available, or I want to maximize the potential utility my optic’s elevator, so I’ll put adjustable or angled rings on top of an angled rail.

I have not tried them. My first choice will always be Warne. I’ve used Leupold STD when having windage issues and shimming when having elevation issues. I’ve decided the next time I have issues to try the Burris system with inserts. I’ve heard so much good about them it would be silly of me to not give them a go.
