Can snag a used Bush Carbon 15 .22lr rifle for $450 from a friend of a co-worker.

What is the general feedback on the Carbon 15 .22lr carbine?

Looks nice with a chomoly 1/16" twist barrel, carbon fiber receiver and stock and upper.

Picatinny rail with built in rear dual aperature sight and standard front sight.

Only thing I don't like is they only have 10-round magazines.

Can I swap out the thin carbon stock for a different stock that won't add much wait but is more comfortable?

Anyone have one?

Any finicky with ammo?

One dealer told me they suggest CCI Minimags! If it's 22lr, why not just shoot Wal-Mart Remington golden bullets or Federal bulk packs.

What do you think?

.22 LR in an AR can be a tricky thing to get it to run properly. I've got almost the same rifle, but in .223, and it shoots pretty well. It gives the impression of flimsiness, but seems to be holding up pretty well. As I recall, Bushmaster offers two different length stock options for their Carbon rifles, but if it has the same bolt design as the .223 models, then you won't be able to swap out the entire assembly for normal AR-15 parts, I don't think.
