Okay I've been looking through old post and haven't found any good anwers to the question I'm looking for, So;

Is any one using or have used a Carbon 15 .22 upper on an Aluminum lower? Any problems? Any one using another dedicated .22LR upper?

I wanted one until I read a thread at ARFCOM in which one of their Moderators warned people to put away their check books and run, not walk, away from the Bushy Carbon-15 upper in .22LR. I can't access that thread now, but if I remember correctly, he wrote that the upper was having a lot of feeding "issues."

That was some time last year, and I haven't checked recently. Perhaps Bushmaster has resolved any problems that they might have had with that .22LR upper.

I don't have a .22LR upper yet for my AR.

A close shooting buddy had 2 carbon ARs. One was a 9mm, the other 223. I got to shoot both. They are incredibly light, and awful shooters. Jamomatics from the word go, till the word stop. Which stop word comes on the first day of shooting, accompanied by lots of not nice words. In short-stay away from carbon ARs, far away. I would not own one one if someone gave one to me, my friend offered me both of them if I bought dinner. I bought dinner, but refused the guns, they were that bad.

I've been looking else where and haven't heard much but bad things about the Carbon 15. There are those that haven't had problems. The newest lastest greatest .22LR Upper is from Spike's Tactical. Time will tell if it's worth it as well. I guess I'll stick to the 10/22 for all my semi auto .22 fun. The cost of the upper will by lots of .22LR ammo, well for a little while yet.
