My local shop has a bushmaster modular carbine for sale.THe gun is new, thereasking price is$1200. what do people think of these guns? are they worth$ 1200

Last weekend I shot my friend's new Bushy 25th Anniversary Carbine, which is essentially the same gun. Pretty neat! The pistol grip and stock are quite comfortable. The forearm is ok, although if I wasn't going to hang all sorts of doo-dads off it I'd prefer a regular M4 handguard.

As for being worth $1200, that's kind of hard to say. If you have the $$ and the want/need for this kind of rifle, I guess it's worth it. "Worth" is really very subjective.

Buy a basic M4gery and then you get to pick to accessories you like. For example, I would rather have a KAC RAS on mine with a ARMS #40 BUIS than the Bushmaster versions.

It isn't a bad deal, assuming you want/like all the extras on it. Adding accessories to an AR ain't cheap. I have a KAC RASII and an ARMs #40 BUIS on one of mine: I paid $347 for the RAS II and $99 for the BUIS (not including shipping). Add this to the cost of the basic carbine and you see the Bushmaster unit isn't that bad.
