One of my friends got a new Bushmaster AR from a Bushmaster dealer with a retractable stock. When I was giving it a look over, I noticed the stock was marked as “Rock River†in a circle. I thought that was odd for Bushmaster to put a competitor’s marked stock on a rifle. Any of you guys out there have the same markings on your ARs?

I was recently told by a RRA dealer that RRA has a patent on the six position stock. If that's true, it would explain why Bushy's stocks are RRA marked.

My Bushmaster Fiberite 6 position stock has the Bushmaster snake logo on its side.

I purchased a complete upper from them a few years ago, and the upper receiver was Oly marked!

I'm not sure just how much stuff Bushmaster makes themselves anymore...

Thanks for the replies. Okay here is the rest of the story. My friend actually ordered the Dissipater model like what's shown in the LEO section of Bushmasters website. He talked to the dealer about the RRA markings today and was told Bushmaster was 4-6 weeks back on all retractable stock models so the Dealer just told bushy to send it with the standard stock, he had some personally in stock. The Dealer put on the retractable stock when he got it (he is also a very good gunsmith). He said that 99 percent of the time he buys all of his parts from Bushmaster and just assumed it was a bushy. The dealer offered to exchange it with a Bushy when he gets some in.
