Finally got the gun to the range for sighting in. Tried running some Radway Green first just to get it on paper. Good thing I brought other ammo because the Bushy refused to run with the British SS109. Short recoil ejected (weakly) but would not pick up the next round from the mag.

Single shot the whole 20 rounds through, had it pretty well dialed in to hit the paper at 100yds and switched to some Sierra 55grn SP Spitzers over 26grns of H-335 in LC once-fired cases.

Picture is the first 5 shots held and squeezed to try to see what the rifle would do. The fourth shot was the flyer into the 10 ring...called a flyer when the fellow beside me fired a 54 cal black powder in-line just as I touched off the shot. I flinched a bit...I admit.

Gathered up and fired the last shot and went downrange to verify the result. Shooting buddy had been watching the group with the spotting scope so I kind of knew what to expect but was still pleased with the measurements.

I went up a couple of clicks and left one and then fired the remaining 35 rounds into groups that averaged under an inch. They started to get bigger after 60 rounds down tube without cleaning so I called it a day.

Going to shoot a new rifle that is supposed to shoot really well had me a bit anxious. Will this rifle do as well as it should? Will I be able to shoot it well enough to show its' stuff?

Pretty happy day for me. Merry Christmas to all! Rob

Oh, for the curious, the scope is Super Sniper 10x40, Burris Extreme Tactical 30mm rings and a G-27 grip.

my preditor likes s&B ball, federal vshok, handloads with hornady softpoints and the 69 grain match but won't function with wolf or the eastern european stuff they sell at academy. This is probably good.
