I picked up this XM15 E2S its a 16inch chrome lined patrolmans carbine with free float quad rail illuminated recticle scope threaded barrel with a bird cage muzzel brake,, i paid 800$ and couldnt be happier

i own one but it is an a4 with a flash hider. and the one that i owned before that was a a2, with a birdcage. they were/have both been 100% reliable and a joy to shoot and train with. no issues no complaints.

I snagged one a little over a month ago, and I'm using it as an "AR tutor" since it's my first AR.

So far, so good.

I've already learned a lot...like it shoots much better than I do.

I've had mine for about 5 years. Thousands of rounds through it, no major problems. Great rifle, and I'd buy another if I needed to. I had an Olympic prior, and I prefer the Bushy. The chromed barrel stays so much cleaner...I had no idea when I bought it that it would be that much of a difference. I run a snake through it after a day of shooting and can wait indefinitely before cleaning it (though I never go more than 7-10 days), and it comes nice and clean.
