I've heard on more than one occasion on general news stations about the major increase in purchasing of ar rifles. Some here have said this shows fear. I feel it shows many people feel its their right to own these criticized weapons and desire to do so despite gun control rhetoric. I'd say if you can afford it despite the higher prices go buy or order up one. If your paying more for one now and price comes down think of it as a donation. Gun stores and manufacturers contribute to pro gun causes themselves. Also their is power in numbers. If these guns are so prevalent in the hands and homes of the law abiding its just that much harder for the gov gun grabbers to do much. Maybe. What do you think? I think this is good for the cause. Not negative.

Pezo, are you a gun store owner?

Just kidding. I do see the point to your post. Buy more, show how many people do NOT want a ban.

I just wish I had the funds for one pre-frenzy, I definitely don't post-frenzy.

I think a lot of the buying now is out of fear. Fear that one won't be able to buy one in the future....Sorry, while I am happy for the retailers who are "having a good year end" because of the panic buys, I will not be part of it out of my own personal economics. I would guess that the guy wanting an AR is gonna have his pick of the litter of a good pre-owned, rarely, if ever shot rifle at less than pre-panic prices within the than a year.

I'm glad that the "panic buying" has been getting some press.

Shows that there are a lot of Americans who still believe in their right to own arms.

When during that piers Morgan ( from England ) host called the president of the gun owners of America fella an "idiot" he also said something along the line of " all those people who are out there buying up all those assault rifles are idiots to" well when you tell the American population they're fools for buying guns and should be scarred of the things ( and themselves essentially) and turn them in and the noted response is an increase of arms purchase. Well I think that says a lot about the backbone of our uniquely American beliefs. We are not like the rest of the world and that is a good thing. We like to take care of ourselves and believe in freedom.

Well said my friend.

I got some bargains in 09 from the panic of 08.
Like a SS Ruger SP101 for 200 bucks from a laid off guy who had maxed out his plastic.
