Also im no where near a master gun tuner like Mike from Goons and i know he prefers the uberti parts/guns...so im sure he can chime in on the quality better than i can especially since hes worked all kinds from different eras. Like when i talk to him he tells me about certain parts from other older manufacturers and how they were different or how certain parts were just unworkable etc. He has a deep treasure trove of knowledge...so when he speaks i listen and dont question since hes been there and done that a atleast a dozen times over. So im not sure if i can make a fair assessment of uberti vs. Pietta until ive handled and worked more ubertis. It could be im a bit biased when it comes to pietta as they were my "first love" so to speak and its what i cut my teeth on ya know...and its familiar to me. For all i know ill be all about ubertis the more i work on them. Im just very thankful and grateful that Mikes from Goons has always been there to help guide ans help me and that mr.powdermark took a chance on me when i have no credit to my name.
Would you consider working on an ASM brand Walker?

Mr.russell13, i hope i will be able to meet your expectactions on your new gun as i did your other guns... and as always ill try and get it to you within a day or two MAX.

The kid’s gonna be a full time smith if he’s not careful!

Lol i wouldn't mind working on cap guns all day. Thing is im technically not a gun smith...i just tune them up, make them more reliable, and fix most technical issues. It is very rewarding to me though...being able to work in the black powder community amongst people who share the same passion is a blessing in my eyes.

Yes sir id be willing to work on one. Message me with details on the issues it has or if youre just wanting it to be given "the outlaw kid" treatment...which is smoothing up the works, adding some torsion wire spring setups to replace the flat bolt/trigger spring, cap post, and hammer sheild. The gun will feel smoother and have a crisper easier hammer pull along with a more responsive trigger pull.

Mr.Robhof, ill message you and we will talk about getting your gun worked on and give you my address info etc

Sorry about the delay...i like to get guns back within 24 hours if possible and It would have been back sooner its just that it arrived late friday afternoon around 6pm and i finished it by next morning but the post office closed at 11am and i didnt get to the post office on time. So i had to wait to ship it out today. Again...sorry for the delay my friend.

No prob...it was my pleasure to work on it. Glad it feels better. Although for a stock gun it was smooth...but i worked on it and got the kinks out and tried to get every bit of "slickness" out of it and also made the gun stronger. Should be able to tell the difference as i worked the bolt arm and cam a lot and probably took apart and reassembled the gun 50 times lol. I wanted the action to be perfect...slick and light and long lasting yet without losing main spring power going forward toward cap. And the obvious cap post and hammer sheild will keep the gun from jamming.

Thanks for the feedback mr.robhof! Glad the gun feels better as the gun was a difficult job. I guess guns from the ASM days werent as good as they are today....the internal parts were rough casted and worn...i didnt go as in depth as i do with other guns due scarcity of replacement parts but atleast the cap post and sheild will prevent cap jams and the internal wire spring set up shouldinternally. help keep the wear down internaly.

Thanks to those who have sent me their guns and have provided me feedback. I really do appreciate it and im if my daughter could talk she would thank you all as well as this is all for her. As some of you already know im a father of a 4 year old autistic girl and i use the money i get from gun tuning to pay for extra therapy sessions for her. She already gets speech and ABA therapy....but i like to pay for extra sessions and since covid happened the job i got isnt giving me the extra hours...so im using this idle time to tune guns. So i truely appreciate everyone whos sent me their guns and provided feedback to show others what i can do...it helps...and it also has me doing something im passionate about. So know that when i get your gun im not doing it with a job or chore mindset...im doing it as a passion.

Glad to hear! I worked your gun a little extra till it was absolutely perfect, i figuredd it would be your number 1 gun so i tried to make it perfect for you. It was a lil gritty and rough but nothing i couldnt take care of. Always great to hear when a customer enjoys the work i sent back to them.
