Are there any semi-auto versions of SMG's legal in CA? I already know the M11 and MAC series are illegal, but is there anything else...

I really can't think of a single one. If you want a 9mm carbine, there's the Marlin Camp Carbine or the Ruger PC-9 rifle. Honestly, semi-automatic versions of submachine guns and 9mm carbines usually aren't good for much other than plinking, IMHO.
