CA: Bay Area Shoot Late June/Early July

Hey y'all. The last shoot back in march was fun, but march is month 3, and we're already in month 6, so its time to do it again.

Los Altos as usual or change it up and go chabot?

Sorry, I missed last one. I am also open for Chabot.

Late June/Early July is a possibility. Once we have a date, I will try to go.

BTW, my buddy asked to go up there this Sunday - 6/12. I'm thinking about going. :)

First one I'd be able to make. Both Chabot and Los Altos are about the same distance from home, Chabot being just a little further.
 
School's out for pretty much everybody except UCLA, UCR, UCI, UCD, UCSD, UCSC, UCSB - all the UC's except Berkeley. We've all got our finals this week. I'm taking a break from studying for my math final to post.

atek, you need to get some kids, then you'll know when it's summer and school's out :p
 
I'm inclined to do this as well in early July. I live near Los Altos, but I think I'd rather shoot at Chabot.
 
I haven't ever been to Chabot, but I like that Los Altos, as mentioned before, has a BBQ pit and a tin can range. It's very beautiful, too.
 
i havent shot at Chabot since 1990 i think....too bad you guys cant get us out-of-staters to bring Class III stuff in. i would go visit my parents in San Jose..... :)

Sounds good on the tentative time- early July is only a week or so away. How about Saturday, July 2nd?. I’m biased towards Los Altos simply ‘cause I like it. Haven’t been to Chabot in a million years. No tin can range is a bummer – that seems to be where we spend most of our time blowing stuff up. And do they have a BBQ facility?

I’m ok with just sandwiches out of a cooler if it comes to that, but I do like pinwheeling those soda cans.
 
oooh, I don't know about the 2nd, thats awfully close, holiday weekend, people on vacation etc... what about the weekend after that?

PS and I'm going to a track day up at thunderhill that weekend :)
 
woah woah woah...I'm not the decision maker! I just threw a date out there and if you guys want to kick it to death like a helpless puppy with no legs... well I'm ok with that.

Ok. How about the second Saturday in July? The 9th?

then it's just a steel cage death match between Chabot and Los Altos.
 
There's myself and about 4-5 others from Kim du Toit's Nation of Riflemen forum (with a "possible" from a female I know) who are going to be at Chabot from the minute they open on Saturday until they kick us out at the end of the day or we run out of ammo.

In all likelihood, it'll probably be the former. :p

Anyone interested in meeting up with us should drop me a PM. I'll be the guy with the bright blue padded post-surgery bootie (had surgery a week ago Monday), wearing the "Peace Through Superior Firepower" OD-green t-shirt, and waddling around like a penguin. You shouldn't be able to not see me there.
