Ca handgun safety license question...

Hi. I just got my license. One question...there is a "extended" piece of paper on it with the doj logo on it. But it has lines down it seperating that logo from the license. Can i take the doj part off so i can laminate the license? Im sure i can otherwise i dont know why they would make it so you couldseperate them...but just wanna make sure. Thnx

Yep, you can, and is what I did, but keep it for your records IMO.

Since it's required only for purchase, why bother laminating it?

I suppose you might buy enough handguns to wear it out ...

Yes i believe you are correct. I know you never wish to do anything wrong and get in trouble and lose your license. I do agree with laminating because just over time it is easy to rip or get dirty. It keeps you form paying to get a duplicate license.
