So Arnold signs AB50, which will cost California jobs. How many jobs? I don't know, but EDM is moving out of state, and presumably they will start buying from out-of-state suppliers. I imagine there are other losses that will be directly attributable to AB50 as well.

Now Arnold is impressed with himself because a printing company is moving ten - that's right, TEN - jobs into California. Yay Arnold.

LA VERNE, Calif. (AP) - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger rolled up to a warehouse today in a custom-painted moving van to announce a sign-printing company was closing its doors in Las Vegas and bringing its jobs to California.

All 10 of them.

``This is the first company that is moving back to California, bringing jobs back to California,'' Schwarzenegger said, standing beside Candice Doi, owner of the Lynch Sign Co.

``We have hope again in California,'' the governor said. ``We are all into creating action and creating jobs.''

Last month, Schwarzenegger boasted that if a company was willing to relocate to California, he would get a truck and move them.

He doesn't say anything about stopping sales to California LE, but it's a logical inference.

I'm glad he has chosen to leave. I'm sure his business generates more taxes and business than a sign making business.

It will make it easier for him to refuse to service weapons sold to PDRK law enforcement agencies if his operations are elsewhere.

I could be wrong, but the way I read AB-50, he's got a choice of leaving or shutting down. It will shortly be illegal to "manufacture or cause to be manufactured...".

I guess he could just drop the .50's from the line and stay put.

I wouldn't be surprised if at least one North Texas chamber of commerce is already circling Redlands like a buzzard. Bill Ritchie's got 15 jobs.

Please stop using me and that word in the same sentence, ok? Thanks! :)

And no, I don't want Gray back. I just think it's a little hypocritical of Arnold to be making a big deal about attracting TEN jobs to California when he signed a bill that, in addition to NOT preventing any crimes, and making criminals out of hundreds if not thousands of otherwise law-abiding Californians, is driving jobs and tax revenue out of the state.
