The local Cabela's has always had a sign that said, "All firearms must be checked in at the front desk." Now all of us who routinely CC just ignored this sign and carried. I always figured that it didn't mean CC guns anyway, but the sign didn't say that.
As of this week, there are full-color flyers on all the doors and around the entrance that say:
"Guns brought in for appraisals, service, trades or sales must be checked in here before entering the store. Guns that are legally carried concealed or openly do not need to be checked if they will remain in their holsters."
This is the first time I have seen Cabela's explicitly welcome open carry.
So, whoever it was that contacted them, thank you! Good job!
